GREEK GUERILLAS IN CLA9HES. LONDON, Ocaober 5. The seizure of Greek peasants’ crops by Italian Carabinieri has caused bloody clashes betwen the peasants and Italian troops, according to the Greek Office of Information, Tobacco growers burned their crops and farmers in the Peloponnese threw their currant and raisin crops into the sea rather than hand them over to tlie Italians. As a reprisal the Italians seized numerous hostages and confiscated their property. Greek guerillas entered into the struggle, freeing a number of. hostages. Clashes are still continuing in many parts of Greece. The Tass (Soviet) News Agency says it is reported from Stockholm that? German street indicators were torn down and anti-German leaflets were distributed in the Norwegian towns of Goenigsvinger and Gjevik.
