9 ATTACKED NEAR DAMASCUS. LONDON, Oct. 6. The Berlin radio says an attempt was made to assassinate the Governoi of Aleppo while he was motoring to Damascus. The Governor was severely wounded and admitted to hospital. The attackers, who were Syrian nationalists, were arrested. They declared they wanted to avenge five Syrian patriots who were hanged at Aleppo last week.
