ST. JAMES THEATRE. Cleverly blending a social document with farce comedy, human drama and sheer fantasy, “The Devil and Miss Jones,” brings Joan Arthur to the screen in tone of her most delightful roles, with Robert Cummings and Charles Coburn appearing in support. The final screening will be given tonight. On Thursday and Friday, commencing at 7.30 p.m. and also at 2 p.m. on Friday another grand threestar bill will be shown with Chapter 5 of “Zorro Rides Again,” while mystery, spin-chilling action and a generous sprinkling iof comedy are the features found in Universal’s “The Mad Doctor of Market Street,” South Seas drama. Adventures of an oddly-assort-ed group of shipwreck survivors marooned on a tropical island in Gio clutches of a mad doctor are related in tho film which features Lionel Atwill, Una Merkel, Nat Pendleton, Claire Dodd. Richard Davies and Anne Nagel. The Lone Wolf, lovable, light-fingered, light-hearted rogue of both film and fiction fame, returns to the screen in “Tho Lone Wolf Keeps a Date,” which completes the bill. This new production presents the most thrilling of all Lone Wolf adventures, and Hie debonair William has for his leading lady a charming young newcomer in the" person of Frances Robinson, who deserves much praise for her splendid acting. Other members of the east include Bruce Benontt, Eric Rlore and Thurston Hall.
