PERSONAL.
After the first aid lecture last evening members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade and E.P.S. Ambulance Unit presented Dr. N. ID. H. Fulton with a writing outfit. Mr G. A. Gilchrist (president of t'hc Association) made the presentation. Dr. Fulton left to-day to take up medical duty at a military camp. Reference to the death, of a former member, Staff-Sergeant S. Johnston, was made at the Ashburton Scottish Society’s Ingleside last evening-, members standing in silence. The funeral took place at a military cemetery in a suburb of Cairo. The Society was represented by Staff-Sergeant George Chapman and Lieutenant Hugh Montgomery, who played the lament, “Flowers of the Forest.”
