FATALITY AT WAIMATE. (P.A.) WAIMATE, This Day. While driving to his office this morning, Mr William Gardner Paul, a prominent citizen, had a heait seizure and expired. His car struck a telegraph .pole heavily and was badly 7 damaged. Mr Paul was a member of the Borough Council, being Deputy-Mayor for many years, and was chairman of the school committee for a long period. He stood for Parliament on two occasions in the Liberal-Labour interests.
