ALLIED SHIPS SUNK.
TWO IN THE BAY OF BENGAL. (Roc. 1.50 p.m.) LONDON. Jan. 25. The Rangoon correspondent of the Associated Press states that survivors from two merchantmen sunk in the Bay of Bengal, probably by a Japanese submarine, landed at a port in Burma. . It is officially announced in Ottawa that survivors have been picked up from a British cargo ship which was torpedoed and sunk on Friday night. Three of the crew were killed. The name of the ship is not disclosed. Survivors have been, landed from a Norwegian steamer which was torpedoed' and sunk in the west Atlantic, it is believed that no one is missing. The name of the ship is not given.
