(Rcc. 10.15) CHUNGKING, Jan. 21. A» Government spokesman said that 40.000 Japanese civilians had beonevaeuated from different parts of Japan to Shanghai owing to fear of Allied bombings. The spokesman also said that the Chinese Government was confident that Singapore w'ould not fall. He added that the Japanese new have air superiority in Malaya, hut that might soon lib changed.
