MISTY RAIN FALLS TO-DAY. Misty rain began to fall in Ashburton about 10 o’clock this morning, and continued throughout the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 68.2 and 36.5 degrees, compared with €6 and 49 on Wednesday. The barometer to-day stood at 29.81 inches, against 29.89 inches yesterday. TO*DAY’S FORECAST, (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The forecast for tho east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Light, to moderate winds from an easterly quarter. Weather cloudy, with coastal fogs, and in some morning drizzle. Temperatures moderate. Further outlcok: Little change.
