PREMIER OF BURMA.
NEW GOVERNMENT FORMED. RANGOON, January 19. The Governor of Burma (Sir Reginald Donnan-Smith) has called on Sir Paw Tun, Minister for Lands and Revenue, to form a Government, i U Saw, the former Prime Minister, who has been detained by the British Government, is 41 years old. It is reported that he is an admirer of Hitler, and after reading “Mein Kampf” he planned to introduce several National Socialist reforms in Burma. Sir Paw Tun said that he is retaining the outgoing Ministers in an enlarged Cabinet. He had the full cooperation and sympathy of his colleagues. He was grieved at U Saw’s detention, and in his absence lie had pursued the policy which U Saw had laid down and partially executed. Sir Paw Tun' added that he realised that he must not let the country down at the most crucial moment in its history.
