TRAP SHOOTING.

METHVEN GUN CLUB, The Methven Oun ‘Club hold a special shoot on Saturday afternoon under perfect shooting conditions. There was a good attendance of shooters and spectators. The principal match was a 13 clay target one for the first prize trophy won by the club’s team at the annual C.A.C. trophy match recently held. This was open to all members of the club. The trophy was won by G. A. Franks, who scored the only possible. The series of matches was opened with the usual 5-bird eye-opener, in which T. S. Harrison, G. A. Franks, L. C. Anderson and N. B.'Morrow shor the possible and divided the sweepstake.

In the C.A.C, trophy match of 15 targets, G. A. Franks (15) took the trophy. T. 13. Harrison and L. C. Anderson, with 14 breaks, divided tlio club’s additional trophy, while S'. U. Anderson, W. J. Robertson and A. McLeod (13) divided the sweepstake. For Mr C. Nordquist’s trophy, S. H. Anderson and G. A. Franks broke the possible of 10 clays, Franks winning in the slioot-off on the second round. Anderson was first in the sweepstake while T. S. Harrison, L. O. Anderson, A. McLeod, W. B. Morrow, and S. Smith (9) took first and third money. The shooting for Mr W. M. Holland’s trophy necessitated a shoot-off between S. H. Anderson, W. J. Robertson, N. B. Morrow and S. r M. Jackman, who all broke the possible of 10 birds. Morrow won the trophy on the seventh round and the other three divided the sweepstake. The final match, for a trophy presented by the patron (Mr W. I* airclough), was the highlight of the day and resulted in a tie for the possible of 10 birds between L. C. Anderson, S. M. Jackman, S. H. Anderson and T. S. Harrison. The last-named two retired in the second round of the slioot-off, leaving L. O. Anderson and Jackman to shoot it out, which was carried on to the 23rd target, when Jackman missed, leaving Anderson the winner. Jackman took first money in the sweepstake, while Harrison and S. H. Anderson divided the balance.
