WOMEN’S DIVISION.
THE ANAMA BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Anama Women’s Division of the Farmers Union was held iu the Schoolroom, the president (Mrs J. Quantock) presiding over a fair attendance. A motion of sympathy with Mr PDwyer and family in their recent bereavement was carried, members standing in sileuco. The president said that the Division had lost a valuable member in Mrs DwJ'or. The president announced that the Anama quota to the Stratheona training scheme had been raised at a function recently held by the Division. Arrangements were, made for the visit of Miss Cocks-Johnson to the district next Friday. Miss L. Greenslade gave a demonstration on smocking and was accorded a vote of thanks. The sales table was under the charge of Mrs R. Currie. Tim hostesses were Mrs W. J. Robertson and Mrs R. Hewson. The competitions resulted: —Roses, Miss L. Greenslade 1, Mi’s W. J. Robertson and Mrs R. Hewson (equal) 2; Madeira Icake, Mrs Ralston 1, Mrs W. J. Robertson 2, Miss L. Greenslade 3; cabbage, Miss L. Dwyer and Mrs R. Brown (equal) 1, Mrs R. Currie 2, Mrs H. Mackenzie 3; soldier’s liussif, Mrs W. J. Robertson 1.
