MANOEUVRES NEAR FRONTIER.
TROOPS IN INDOCHINA. 1 “UNDER ALIEN OFFICERS.” (Rec. 10 a.m.) BANGKOK, Nov. 1. The United Press correspondent says that Thai newspapers said to-day that Indo-China troops, supported by aviation, are manoeuvring near the Thailand frontier “under alien officers.” “Our neighbours,” they say, “have already fixed the bayonet. An Associated Press correspondent says that qualified observers attached particular significance to-day to a statement by the Bangkok radio that Thailand would welcome the assistance of friendly powers if forced to fight for her independence.
