OBITUARY.

COLONIST FOR 98 YEARS. (P.A.) HASTINGS, December 1. The death has occurred of Mrs G. E. Lee, of Hastings, in her hundredth year. She was born in Stroud, England, in 1842 and was brought to New Zealand by the ship Union in March, 1843. She therefore saw Auckland in its in-fancy,-and was in the unusual position of having been in New Zealand more than 98 years. Her husband, who was a well-known solicitor, died in 1920.
