LODGE MEETINGS.

LOYAL TINWALD, M.U.1.0.0.F. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Tinwald Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., was held last evening, when the N.G. (Sister R. L. Rodd) presided. It was reported that three members were still on sick fuvids, while two had been declared off. Sick pay amounting to £6 was passed for payment. The secretary reported on the last meeting of the U.F.S. Association. The lecture-master (Bro. J. L. Crosson) installed Sister C. Cague as N.G. and Bro. C. Goodfellow as. V.G.

THE ASHBURTON FORESTERS t Bro. G. H. Penman, C.R., presided at a meeting of the Court of Ashburton Lodge, A.0.F., on Monday evening. Sick pay amounting-to £5 was passed in favour of five members. The secretary was instructed to send a letter of sympathy and good wishes for speedy recovery to Bro. H. Broomfield. The Social Security Scheme was fully discussed and it was decided that the medical fees paid by members to the lodge since May 1 be refunded. It was stated that a meeting would be arranged with local doctors to take place shortly and it was hoped to arrange for a. new system of co-operation between the friendly societies and the medical officers. Details of the Social Security benefits were explained to members. Bro. W. H. Amos reported on a meeting at Christchurch when the matter wau also discussed.
