SPECTACULAR FIRE.
GRANDSTAND DESTROYED. (P.A.) HASTINGS, December 1. Built about 60 years ago with heart of totara and kauri timber, the outside enclosure grandstand at the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s racecourse in Hastings was destroyed by fire last night. It was the most spectacular fire in the town for a long time.
