MEDICAL SERVICES.
LODGES TO MEET DOCTORS.
The question of lodge medical services in relation to the Social Security scheme was discussed at the quarterly meeting of the Ashburton, United Friendly Societies Association last evening. The president (Mr J. E. Meiaclem) presided over a good attendance. A committee consisting of Messrs J. E. Meaelem, F. Pritchard, IV. H., Amos, W. Bryant and G. F. Fowke was appointed to confer with tho doctors and report to a later meeting. The President welcomed Mr W. Bryant as delegate from the Hibernian Society. In. view of the pending discussions with the doctors notices of motion dealing with the future of the Association in consequence of the operation of the Social Security scheme were postponed. It was decided that no affiliation fees be collected for the current year.
