CARTAGE OP GOODS IN COUNTY. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The hearing of applications by Burnett’s motors, Ashburton, was concluded yesterday, the No. 3 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr T. H. Langford) reserving his decision. One application, opposed by MidCanterbtury Transport (Mr R. A. Young), was for four extra vehicle authorities for cartage of goods in the Ashburton County. Certain extensions to the company’s areas of operation and a seasonal goods service licence in the Ashburton County were also applied for. Mr C. S. Thomas appeared for the company.
