THE ASHBURTON CLUB. The Ashburton Golf Club closed u very successful season to-dav, when a mixed J'oursonios match was played for a trophy presented by Mrs J. T. Smith. Members were entertained to afternoon tea by the. president (Mr W. H. Amos) and Mrs Amos.
Mrs A. N. Grigg. banded over trophies won during the season as follow: — Senior championship’: 0. .T. Bonnington ; runner-up, W. I*. Anderson, intermediate championship: F. J*. Fogarty; runner-up, A. \V. Clark. Junior championship: A. A. McDonald; run-ner-up, I). F. Gane. Opening day foursome: Mr and Mrs J. Allen. Bermaline Cup: F. P. Fogarty. Barnett Vase: D. F. Gane. D.C.L. Cup: D. F. Gane. President’s trophy: J. H. Chapman. Captain’s trophy: L. A. Charles. 'Morrow Cup: Mrs J. H. Chapman and L. A. Charles. Foursome match play: L. C. Nash and C. Ward.
