FAILURE TO REPORT TO ARMY. (P.A.) NEW' PLYMOUTH, Oct. 20. Charles Henry Olds, a school teacher, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to a charge of failure to report for military duty. His ease was previously the subject of a school committee discussion, and a Taranaki Edxication Board resolution. Olds told the Court to-day that he bad stated his principles to the No. 3 Armed Forces Appeal Board, and must abide by them, though his appeal Avas dismissed. He had not changed bis mind in any Ava£. He was willing to undertake any work not connected Avitli the “military machine.” The Magistrate said that as defaulters’ camps avill probably open on November 1, he would adjourn the case till November 3 for sentence.
