TWO MINES IDLE.
TRUCKER’S DISMISSAL. (P.A.) GREYMOUTH, Oct. 20. Both the James and Strongman State coal mines are idle to-day. It is understood that a trucker at the Strongman mine was dismissed on Thursday last and that the miners this morning, taking exception to the dismissal, returned home. About 220 men are involved.
