STILL AT LARGE.

GRAHAM AVOIDS POLICE TRAP.

SNOW HAMPERS THE SEARCH.

(P.A.) GREYMOUTH, October 19. Stanley Graham has not yet fallen into any of the traps laid for him by the police. The search for him was continued over the week-end. Saturday was fine but further falls of snow last night in the high country contributed to the difficulties oi} the police, who are now endeavouring to track down the fugitive without the assistance of the Home Guard, although some of the residents of Koiterangi with a good knowledge of the country have been retained to assist.

Since Graham is believed to have taken food from the house of Mr George Lindsay (not Lindsay Cron) near Lake Arthur, in the vicinity of Mount Doughboy, the police have been unable to find any clues which would lead to his whereabouts. Mr J. O’Brien, M.P., visited Koiterangi to-day accompanied by the Commissioner of Police (Mr. D. J. Cummings), who escorted him over the area round Mount Doughboy where Graham is believed to be. Mr Cummings also inspected the locality yesterday, but stated to-night that no clues had been, found. No shots had been fired by Graham or his pursuers.
