THE “GHOST” VOICE.

RECORDING OF FIRST EFFORTS. BROADCAST TO CONTINENT (Roc. 11.20 am) LONDON, Oct. 19. A recording of the first efforts of the “Ghost” voice was included in the afternoon British Broadcasting Corporation’s broadcast to the Continent today. The interjections could be plainly distinguished and after the recording was finished the 8.8.1 C. announcer remarked: “Comment for British and, indeed for any listeners is superfluous.’' Suspicion that the “ghost” voice emanated not from Germany, but from Italy has become a certainty. Shortly after the news on Thursday evening the voice which has been butting in with usually inane comments was distinctly heard to say in an aside in Italian: “Pardi speaking. Can you increase the volume ?”
