TENNIS.

THE LYNDHURST CLUB. There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Lyndhurst Lawn Tennis Club. Mr J. Lilley (president) presided. The report showed that the club had a successful season. It was decided to send parcels to members who are' serving with the forces overseas. The election of officers Patron, Mr W. Cook; president, Mr J. Lilley; vice-president, Mr R. Lilley; secretary, Miss E. Gilmour; treasurer, Mr E. Alexander; captain, Mr R. Lilley; vice-captain, Miss M. Cook; committee, Misses Rudd, N. Gadd, N. Woolley, Messrs K. Prebble, J. MeKendry, W. Symes.

Opening day was fixed for October 18.
