ASHBURTON CHAMPIONSHIPS. The finals of the championships of the Ashburton Golf Club were; played to-day in bright weather. Results of the morning round were: Men’s Matches. Senior —W. P. Anderson and C. J. Bonnington, all square. Intermediate —A. W. Clark 5 up on F. P. Fogarty. Junior —A. A. McDonald 2 up on D. F. Gane. This afternoon the senior men’s title was decided, Bonnington defeating W. P. Anderson, 7 up and 6 to play. Women’s Matches. Senior—Mrs E. Brophy one up on Mrs H. A. Vezey. Intermediate —Mrs J. H. Chapman 3 up on Miss P. Holland. Junior —Mrs C. H. Hardy leading from Mrs I. M. Hamilton. Mrs Hardy beat Mrs Hamilton, 10 and 9.
