THE WEATHER.
ANOTHER FROST TO-DAY. There was a ground frost of four degrees in Ashburton this morning. The night was clear and cool in the earlier part, a result of the southerly conditions which prevailed yesterday, but the temperature fell later, reaching a minimum of 32.5 degrees. The maximum yesterday was 50.9 degrees. The barometer tins morning stood at 29.92 inches—much higher than over the last week. There wore passing clouds to-day, with a cool breeze from the south-east. TO-DAY’S FORECAST (P.A.} WELLINGTON, This Day. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Gamary is -><3 follows: — Light to moderate and variable breezes. Weather fair to fine and cool with frosts to-night. Further outlook: Fair to fine.
