BATTLES BREWING.
POSITION IN LIBYA AND EGYPT. BETTER WEATHER DUE. LONDON, August 30. The sudden renewal of the fierce aerial warfare over the Mediterranean with British attacks on Libyan and Sicilian towns and cities and German and Italian counter-attacks on Egyptian towns and Tobruk, suggest that fresh battles are brewing in Libya and Egypt. The .war correspondent of the “Daily Herald” says that this is a warning not to forget that the Russian campaign is only one front in this war, and that it will not be many weeks before the weather makes warfare along the north African shores easier. The change roughly will coincide with the end of the autumn campaigning in Russia.
