TERMS ACCEPTED

announcement in IRAN. AXIS LEGATIONS TO BE CLOSED. GERMANS TO BE HANDED OVER. (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 9. The Foreign Office announces that the British Minister at Teheran this morning received'a Note from the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs stating that the Iranian Government lias accepted the terms put forward by the British and Soviet Governments. The terms include the closing of the German, Italian, Rumanian and Hungarian Legations, and the handing over of German nationals in Iran to the British and Soviet authorities. The hope is expressed in authoritative circles in London that acceptance of the terms will prove to he an indication that the Iranians finally under- * stand that their interests lie in full co-operation with the Allies. On such a basis a wider sphei*e of collaboration, already recognised by many far-seeing Persians, lies ahead of them. There is no' doubt that the British Government wishes the country to be more prosperous and desires to help it to develop its resources and raise the standard of living.-—British Official "Wireless. 'The Teheran radio to-day denied allegations made by the Italian propaganda machine. In a broadcast in Persian from Rome it was stated that a revolt had broken out in Iran. This was not true, stated the Teheran radio, adding that order prevailed throughout the country. The British Minister in Teheran (Sir •Reader Bullard) has demanded the closing of the legations of all Axis Powers and then* satellites in Iran, also the surrender of all German nationals. The British' and Russian terms are to be discussed at to-morrow’s session of the Iranian Parliament.
