FATAL ACCIDENTS.
MINE TRUCKER KILLED. (P.A.) GREYMOUTIT, August G. Mr Edward William Cutbush, aged 22, a married man, of Reefton, wa3 killed this morning in the Peerless coal mine, about four miles from Reefton. Cutbush, a trucker, was struck on the head by a flying wire rope, which broke away on a jig. QUARRYMAN’S DEATH. (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. C. While working in a quarry at Goose Bay yesterday morning, Mr W. O’Connell, aged H 4, a married man, of Oaro, was struck on the head by a falling 3tone. He received serious injuries to his head, including a fractured skull, and died in the Kaikoitra Hospital at 10 o’clock last night.
