WHEAT DELIVERIES.

TOTAL OF 6,727,000 BUSHELS MORE STILL TO COME IN. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day., The Wheat Committee has up to the present handled 6,727,900 bushels of this year’s wheat, and expects to deal with another 400,000 to 500,000 bushels. The quantity received SO' far is 392,000 bushels more than at the same date last. year. The last of the increments for the season will go on next month, when it is expected that a fair quantity of wheat held for the higher prices, will come in. The final increment, like the one this month, will be a halfpenny. Estimated production this season was 8,400,000 bushels; said the Wheat Controller (Mr R.. McPherson) yesterday, and the Wheat Committee would probably handle 7,100,000 bushels of milling wheat. The North Island had been supplied with 800,000 bushels of fowl wheat from Australia, so that quantity .would not be a charge against New Zealand supplies. For the South Island’s requirements of fowl wheat, 800,000 bushels had to he provided, and 500,000 bushels wore ro : quired for seed, so that when these two amounts had been found there would be left 7,100,000 bushels, a full year’s requirement of milling wheat. The amount of wheat handled so far this year is almost exactly equivalent tp the amount handled up to November 26 last year.
