Wilkinson, to consider the question of agricultural v education will meet on Saturday, August 15, .in the Ashburton main school immediately after the arrival of the express from Christchurch. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO. (From the “Guardian,” Augusts, 1916) Mcthven School—Owing to tho school building at Alethven having been destroyed by fire, the children have hot been assembled for some days. It is understood that arrangements are being made to accommodate them in one of the Sunday School buildings until such time as a new school is erected.
