FLOODS IN JAPAN.
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO CROPS. INCREASE IN OUTPUT URGED. (United Press Association—-Copyright.) (Rec. .9.55 a.m.) TOKIO, Aug. 4. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr Tno), after touring the flood zones in the IChiba and Ibaraki prefectures, said he was surprised at the extensive damage to crops. Ho stressed the urgency of an immediate increase in the agricultural output and admonished farmers not to abandon themselves to despair. Mr Ino said that soldiers were undergoing greater hardships at the front.
