RAID ON SUEZ AREA.
SEVENTEEN KILLED, 58 INJURED. HEAVIEST CASUALTIES OF WAR.
(Roc. 9.45 a,m.) LONDON, Aug. 4. An official communique issued at Cairo states that air raid alarms were sounded last evening by the Government in several provinces of Egypt. Bombs were dropped in the Suez Canal area, causing 17 deaths and injuring 58. Slight damage was done to property. This is the heaviest casualty list yet reported in a raid on this area. Alerts were sounded in Alexandria, Port Said, Suez, and .the Cairo area. —British Official Wireless.
