IN DOVER STRAITS.
ROYAL AIR FORCE OPERATIONS. MANY ENEMY POSTS FIRED ON LONDON, Aug. 3. The Royal Air Force was active over , tlffi Straits of Dover and the coast of Northern France during the evening. The weather was very clear in the Straits and anti-aircraft shells bursting over the- French coast in the direction of Calais was seen from the British side. The Air Ministry communique states: “Aircraft of the Fighter Cornman again carried out many offensive operations over the Channel and Northern France to-day (Sunday). A large number of enemy objectives were attacked. Patrol vessels, aircraft on the ground* troops, gunposts and an aerodrome were raked with machinegun and cannon fire from a low eve!, and four enemy fighters were shot down.
