CONVALESCENT DEPOT
PLANNED FOR BURNHAM CAMP, GRADUATED TRAINING ICOURSE. (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Plaqs for the establishment of a convalescent and graduated training depot at Burnham mobilisation camp have been approved, and the erection of necessary buildings will begin soon. Ihe depot, which will be available for territorials and Expeditionary Force recruits alike, will accommodate approximate! v 150 men, hut provision has be 3n “made for its expansion to take up to 300 soldiers, it will be under the direction of a medical officer and will be staffed by male attendants, including a niasseqr. The depot will he a recuperative institution for men who after their discharge from hospital are not fit enough to Undertake routine camp training. During the final stages of their convalescence they will he given graduated training so that on their return to camp they will be fit to take thdir places with their units.
