TREASURY DEPARTMENT ACTION • OFFICIAL VIEW UNCHANGED (Rec. 1.30) WASHINGTON, Aug. 1. As a sequel to the importers’ three libel attachments, the Treasury Department lias decided to allow the Tatuta Maru to discharge her entire cargo, including a largo quantity of silk and furs, because the Justice Department said the ship could not sail pending a settlement of the claims. Earlier, Mr Sumner Welles said the attachment actions did not modify or change official assurances regarding the clearance of Japanese vessels.
