PILOT FROM ALEXANDRA (P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 1. Official advice lias been received by Air Headquarters that the Distinguished Flying Cross has been awarded to Pilot ' Officer Arthur Ashworth, son of Mr C. M. Ashworth, Alexandra. Pilot Officer Ashworth was Lorn at Gisborne in 1920 and educated at Alexandra District High School. He was employed in the aerodrome service of the Public Works Department before his selection for a short service coinmission. He received his early training at Rongotai immediately after the .QUtbreak of war.
