LODGE MEETINGS.
LOYAL ASROUftTON, M.U.L0.0.F. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Ashburton Lodge, M.(T.1.0.0.F., washeld last evening, the N.G. (bister B. Fern) presiding over a good attendance. 'Motions of sympathy with the relatives of the late Bro. B. Baker and with Bro. J, Gibson in the loss of his son were carried in the manner customary in the Order. Sick pay amounting to £34 18s 4cl was passed in favour of 22 members. An invitation to the Loyal Mayfield Lodge’s annual ball on Friday, August 15, was received with pleasure. The resignation of P.G. Bro. A. C. Hardy as trustee was accepted arid he was nominated for the position of treasurer, vacated by P.G. Bro. A. J. McCallum. . . Ono candidate, was initiated. the hakatere oddfellows The fortnightly meeting of the Hakatere Lodge, T.0.0.F., was held on Wednesday when the N.G. (Bro. T. Thomson) presided. Sick pay amounting to £ll was passed in favour of nine- members. The quarterly returns presented by the secretary were adopted.
