PRO-BRITISH YOUTH.

IN THE OCCUPIED COUNTRIES. SCHOOL CHILDREN IMPRISONED. (Rec. 1.40 a.mi) LONDON, July 30. Evidence is accumulating of the spirited resistance to Nazi domination by young people in the occupied territories. The problems of resentful school children are demonstrated by the continual Nazi - inspired proclamation against friendship for the British shown by the youth of various countries.

Throughout France, the authorities are calling upon young people to renounce these sentiments, and they complain that the De Gaulle movement is attracting to its ranks the flower of French youth. The Belgian paper “Cashandre,” which is controlled by the Germans, attacks the propaganda activities of schoolmasters and professors who encourage youths to leave school and their homes in an effort to reach England to enlist.

In Holland there are continual reports of youths being sent to prison for tlieir contemptuous attitude to the Nazi regime. Four youths between the ages of 16 and 17 were sent to prison for turning tlieir backs on the showing of a Nazi propaganda film. Similar action was similarly punished in Denmark, while in Norway seven girls were expelled from school for antLGerman utterances .—British Official Wireless.
