PRISON CAMPS CLOSED.

GERMANS ACCEDE TO REQUEST. (United P#ess Association—Copyright.) LONDON, July 7. Through the good offices of the United States Embassy in Berlin, Staleg XXA Fort 15, and Staleg XXAD Fort 8 have been closed, and all officers' have been transferred from them to other camps, states a War Office communique. A. number of officers are said to ha\ r e been sent to Oflag VB, and the German Foreign Office lias promised to supply the United States Erbassy in the near future with a formal notification of the closing of the two camps, together with a list of the camps to which the officers have been transferred. On receipt of this information by the British Government the next-of-kin will be notified of the change of address.

The camps closed are so-called reprisal camps to which certain officers were transferred early in March this
