WOMEN’S GUILD.
METHODISTS AT METHVEN. The monthly meeting of the Methven Methodist Women’s Guild was held at the home of Mrs Scott, the president (Mrs E. A. Mangin) presiding over a good attendance. Each member contributed a gift for a small patient at Waipiata. A poem, “The Rights of Women,’’ which was sent from the Rev. C. S. Matthews, formerly of Ashburton and now of Park Baptist 'Church, Brentford, England, was read by Miss Ngaio Johns. The monthly competition, “A Knitted Cap for Refugee Children,” resulted: Mrs Joiyis 1, Mrs Ayers 2, Mrs and Miss Kennode (equal) 3. Afternoon tea. was served by the hostesses, Mesdamcs Scott and Kermotle.
