TINWALD STOCK SALE.

PRICES A SHADE BETTER. WETHERS BRING UP TO 28s 4d Fat sheep met with, a good sale at the Tinwald market to-day, prices on the average being a shade better than at the Ashburton yards last week. There was a fair entry. Up to noon top price was 28s 4d for a pen of three prime wethers sold on account of Mr S.. H. Lill (Tinwald). Other pens brought from 24s lOd, to 26s 10d.

- The best ewes sold on behalf of a client reached 20s Id, the balance of the entry ranging from 11s lOd to 19s 10d. There was a larger entry than usual of fat lambs in the butchers’ pens, prices averaging from 17s 4d to 23s 4d.

The principal sales were: — Fat Ewes—On account of A. S.. Dayman (Willowby) 3 at 15s lOd, 66 at 16s 7d, 10 at 16s 4d; Mrs L. R. Pawsey (Wakanui) 4 at 12s Id: R.
