A GAMINGHOUSE.
HAIRDRESSER EINED £25. (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 21. Henry Kendall Forward, a hairdresser, appeared before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., in the Rangiora Magistrate’s Court to-day on a charge of using premises as a: common gaming house. He pleaded guilty and was fined £25 and costs’, in default three months’ imprisonment. Detective-Sergeant J. MeClung said that, in company with Detective Knowles, lie visited Forward’s shop and found a quantity of betting material., Forward frankly admitted taking bets.
