AIR FORCE BAND.

VISIT TO ASHBURTON TOMORROW. FOB PATRIOTIC PURPOSES. Witli the object, of assisting tho patriotic appeal in Ashburton, tho Royal New Zealand Air Force Band, one of the best military organisations in tho Empire, will pay a brief visit to the town to-morrow morning, on its way from Tiinaru to Christchurch. Tho Band will arrive at 10 o’clock and will be met. at the railway station by tho Mayor (Dr. J. Connor), who will welcome tho visitors. Tho Band will then march down East Street, and it is being requested that motorists should keep clear of that street between Tancred and Havelock Streets during the time, the parade is in progress. The Band will play a number of selections before returning to tho railway station for morning tea, which will be provided by the St. Andrew’s Church Ladies’ Guild. While the parade is in progress and during the playing by the Band, collectors for the patriotic funds will move among the crowd and it is hoped that in this way a considerable sum Will be raised.'
