(p.A.) WELLINGTON', This Lay. 'The following Air Force casualties are announced: — Sergt. Eric Russell Lucas, missing on air operations. Father, Mr I. A. Lucas, Waitara. Sergt. Roderick William Finlayson, missing on air operations. Mother, Mrs J. Finlayson, Dunedin. Sergt. Erie Francis Gannaway, died in hospital from wounds received as the result of air operations. Mother, Mrs M. E. Gannaway, Napier. Sergt. Eric Rutherford Fremlin, killed in a flying accident. Father, Mr O. O. Fremlin, Auckland. Pilot-Officer Frederick Kenneth Gill, missing in air operations. Mother, Mrs B. Gill, Auckland. Pilot-Officer lan Dromgoole, previously reported missing believed killed in May, 1940, death now officially confinned. Father, Mr V. P. iDromgoolo, Lyttelton. The following are officially presumed to; be dead:—• Pilot-Officer Edward Colin Joseph Cameron, previously reported missing, believed killed in action, July, 1940: Father, Mr A. B. Cameron, Waihi. Pilot-Officer Donald Gordon Cobden, previously reported missing in August, 1940. Father, Mr A. D.
Cobden, Christchurch. Flying-Officer Samuel Miles Mackenzie Watson, previously reported missing, believed killed, in July, 1940. Father, Mr M. Watson, Wellington. NO PROPOSALS TO GERMANY. TO ABOLISH NIGHT-BOMBING. (Rec. 11.40) LONDON May 21. The Lord Privy Seal (Mr C. RAttlee) said in the House of Commons that th© Oovernment would not consider making any proposal to Germanj for the abolition of night-bombmg. “In the view of the Government it is not practicable to think we can come to any agreement with Germany/* he said.*—British Official Wireless.
