PRESENTATION.
FAREWELL GIFTS AT METHVEN. Parishioners of All Saints’ Anglican Church, Methven, gathered on Monday evening to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs .T. Temple on the eve of their departure to Taihape, after a residence of some 15 years in Methven. The vicar (the Bov. H. I<\ Thompson) presided. Games and competitions were held. Mesdames F. E. Shearer and G. G. Stephens contributed solos, and Miss B. Richards played a violin solo. Mr Thompson, referring .to the guests, said all regretted their departure and thanked Mr Temple, for his assistance as a vestryman. He presented Mr and Mrs Temple with a clock as a token of goodwill. Miss P. Temple received a book. Mr IT. E. Bichards (vicar’s warden) and others spoke in endorsement of the chairman’s remarks, and Dir W. C. Battson tendered good wishes on behalf of members of Toe H.
