STRONG PROTEST
CONTEST'S ON SUNDAY MINISTERS’ ASSOCIATION REFERENCE
Strong protests against the granting of permission for the holding of a. band contest in Ashburton on a Sunday were expressed at a meeting of the Ashburton Ministers’ Association, presided over by the Rev. AV. N. Elett.
It was pointed out that permission had been granted for the use of the Domain and that this was the second time such permission had been given in Mid-Canterbury within a very brief period.
