Miss Molly !Dnrt, of ’Methven, who has spent two years in Hong Kong, has returned to New Zealand. '

The resignation of Miss G. Nolan from the staff of the Allenton School was accepted by the School Ommittee last evening. The resignation takes effeet at the end of the month.

Mrs F. Curtis, the Mid-Canterbury representative on the joint council of the St. John Ambulance and the Bed Cross Society, attended a meeting of the council at Christchurch last evening.

Mr H. Falla (president-elect of the New Zealand Baptist Union) and the Rev. F. Smart (secretary to the Canterbury Auxiliary of the Union), both of Christchurch, will visit Ashburton this evening and will meet members and officials of the Baptist Church at a function.

Or. J. L. Will (chairman of the New Zealand Red Cross Society) will attend the annual mooting of the Ashburton sub-centre on Ibe evening of Wednesday, April 16. Dr. Will is also president of the Christchurch Crippled Children's Society and lie w*ill confer with the local society on the same evening. >
