THE St. ANDREW’S CLUB

TI-IE APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS

There was an attendance of 30 at the annual meeting of the St. Andrew’s Physical Training Club which was held last evening in St. Andrew’s Hall. In the absence of the president (the Rev. R-. S. Watson) the vice-president (Dr. W*. R. Ryburn) presided. The following officers were elected: vice-president, Dr. W. R. Ryburn ; instructors, Messrs D. Ross, H. Shaw and G. Cakler ; secretary, Mr A. Ross; treasurer, Mi - J. Kelly; committee, Messrs R. McOrea, J. Cookson, L. George arid B. Drummond ; pianist, Miss I. B. McDonald’; advisory instructor; Mr A. Calder. The appointment of a president was held over.,

Messrs R.. Allen: and A. Kelly were unanimously elected instructors rintil their return from overseas sejrvice with the fighting forces. Votes of thanks were passed to the past president (the Rev. R. S. Watson), the instructor (Mr Oalder), the pianist (Miss I. B McDonald) and to the vice-president (Dr. Ryburn) for his services as chairman.

My Calder was congratulated on his appointment as Physical Welfare Officer. for the South Canterbury district under the Department of Internal Affairs.
