WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
MID-CANTERBURY FEDERATION. A meeting of the executive of the Mid-Canterbury Federation of Women's Institutes was held at the home of the president (Mrs D. Mcßae) on Monday. The secretary (Mrs G. M. Breeze) was instructed to write letters of cheer to two members who were absent because of ill-liealth. Final arrangements were made for the annual meeting to he hold on April 4. It whs announced that Mrs Deans (North Canterbury) would address members at the morning session and that Mrs A. H. Sundry (Highbank) would give a travel talk in the afternoon. Advice was received from the Dominion Council member, Mrs M. A. Constable, that as a war measure Mrs McRae would accept nomination for a further term of one year.
