HEAVY BOMBING ATTACK FRENCH FORCES REPULSED (? (United Press Association—Copyright.) BANGKOK, January 6. The High Command announced that there was heavy fighting on the southern frontier sectors, with Thai bombing attacks on objectives in .IndoChina. Thai forces repelled a strong French attack in the Aranya sector and repelled a French attack under an artillery barrage in a two-hour battle east .of Chandaburi. Thirty Thai planes bombed Pakse and other French frontier towns, setting fire to barracks and damaging a gun emplacement. I The High Command said that the French were free to leave the country, •>ut would net be permitted outside the capital without police permission
